Preserved Vegetable Sauce (Easy Version):

  • Patchun Preserved Vegetable Sauce
3 tbsps (45g)
  • Ketchup
2 tbsps (30g)
  • Brown Sugar
1 tbsp (9g)
  • White Vinegar
1 tbsp (15ml)
  • Salt
1 tsp (5g)

 

Preserved Vegetable Sauce (Advanced Version):

  • Patchun Preserved Vegetable Sauce
2 tbsps (30g)
  • Ketchup
2 tbsps (30g)
  • Plum Sauce
1 tbsp (19g)
  • Brown Sugar
1 tbsp (9g)
  • White Vinegar
1 tbsp (15ml)
  • Salt
1 tsp (5g)
  • Mango (Diced)
½ bowl (83g)
Steps

Step 1

Heat up the oil in frying pan and add ingredients in order, then cook with 250 ml water over medium heat.

Step 2

Add 100 ml cornstarch mixture (include 2 tbsps potato starch), then simmer the sauce. ( Level of sweet and sour can be adjusted by adding sugar or vinegar after tasting)

Step 3

Need not defrost Alpha Nugget and bake at 230°C for 15 minutes or deep-fry over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes until golden browned.

Step 4

Slightly cool down the sauce and drizzle on top of the Alpha Nugget or set aside the sauce to prevent sogginess. ( Not suggest cook Alpha Nugget with sauce)
